With so many different brands of mineral makeup on the market, choosing the right makeup for you can be difficult. Rachel K only utilizes the finest ingredients available (Pharmaceutical & Cosmetic grade raws). Although the ingredient lists of different mineral products may appear to be identical, they are not! There are several grades of raw materials; a variety of densities, dispersions, particle sizes and opacity levels. The quality and variation in particle size, grade, feel, etc. all contribute to the final product. Beware of bargain mineral makeups that use low grades as well as additional, unnecessary fillers.

Mineral Rice Perfection Setting Powders

Create the perfect matte finish with this lightweight, translucent powder. Use to tone down shine from over applied foundations. Pressed Mineral Foundation

Available in 9 foundation shades, these pressed mineral makeup silky formulation offers a superb coverage with a matte finish, as well as portability for convenience of travel. Shades will apply lighter or darker then loose versions, depending on application method (brush or sponge). If sponging on, you may need to choose one shade lighter than you wear in the loose version.

Comparing the quality of the minerals with other brands, true minerals in pressed powder form should maintain its consistency until the pan is empty. If black flecks are visible, it means that the minerals were not micronized properly. Also, any true mineral makeup should reflect light, and the colour appears as if it comes from within. Great on its own or under foundation, this ultra-smooth formula blends beautifully. Covers imperfections, as well as discoloration and pigmentation marks. Gives high coverage and lasts all day long. Use prior to makeup application to conceal imperfections and under eye circles.

Application – Apply with brush for light to medium coverage or sponge for heavier coverage. Best coverage is achieved by applying a little to an area and leave unblended for a minute. Then soften and blend with a concealer brush, rather than blending immediately.
